Seasonal Crafts: How To Make a Pompom Field Mouse

by Lara-Maree MacGillivray October 9, 2019 No Comments

Field mice are a popular harvest creature around where I come from. Scurrying throw the fields and onto bird tables twitching their tiny whiskers and cleaning their petal noses with their tiny pink toe pads . Who doesn’t love a little field mouse, when they’re outside that is? That’s why I’m sure you’ll love these pompom mice that stay indoors and keep you company on those cold days with out destroying any of your possessions.

To Make Pompom Field Mouse

Materials

Brown wool

Pink felt

Black felt

To Make

1.Using a pompom maker or card make a pompom as directed in how to make a pompom hedgehog.

2.Taking beige felt cut two circles the size of £1 coins with a dart in them, and a tail.

3.Glue the darts edge together, and hold in shape before hot glue gunning to either side of the pompom.

4.Glue the tail on the back of your mouse.

5.Finally glue two black felt circles and a tiny pink nose onto your mouse.

Your mouse is now complete and ready to be displayed around your home, with other festive fall pompom critters. I love mine to pieces and takes pride of my book shelf, where I can see it every morning when I’m not busy cuddling it or flinging it about by the tail.

Send in pics of your mice plz. I’d love to see ’em.
