These pompoms are utterly adorable and satisfying to make. Pompom making is one of the least stressing crafts out their, for you to occupy your time, as long as you have a pompom maker.
Many people have off putting childhood experiences of making pompoms. Generally along the lines of working so hard then taking the pompom out the card only to have it fall apart 5mins later. Well I’m here to put your fears to rest. Chances are you just didn’t wrap enough wool around your carboard template.
TO MAKE POMPOM HEDGEHOG
MATERIALS
Pompom maker/card
Brown wool
Light brown/white wool
Black felt
Scissors
TO MAKE
1.Taking your pompom maker wrap your wool round it as shown, Making a third of one side of the pompom a lighter brown and the rest dark brown.
2. Close the pompom maker, cut the wool, and tie a spare piece round in a secure knot.
3. Pop the pompom out of your pompom maker or card and trim your pompom making sure to make the pile shorter towards the lighter end.
4. Taking brown felt cut two semicircles for your hedgehogs ears, two black circles for eyes and a semicircle for a nose and hot glue gun into place apon the lighter side of your hedgehog.
Your hedgehog is now ready to sit around your home looking adorable, and ready for autumn.
